Career
Pragya Jaiswal was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India on 24 June 1988. She completed her education at Symbiosis Law School at Pune. While studying, she participated in various beauty competitions and became a successful model. Pragya Jaiswal started her career in Telugu and Tamil Industry with a debut bilingual film named Virattu / Dega, released in 2014.
In 2015, she acted in a Telugu film Mirchi Lanti Kurradu opposite Abijeet. Director Jayanag has written and directed this film. Rudrapati Ramanarao produced this film under Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinema. Music composed by J. B. Casts in Rao Ramesh, Shakalaka Shankar, Saptagiri, Fish Venkat, and others. She did not get much recognization with this film.
Later, she got an opportunity to collaborate with director Krish in the period drama Kanche opposite Varun Tej. She was portrayed as Seeta Devi, the daughter of a rich man who later falls in love with Hari Babu before leaving to fight in World War II. She performed well and gave her best in this film. She looks gorgeous as Seetha Devi in this film.
At the 63rd National Film Awards, Kanche earned the National Film Award for Best Feature Film In Telugu. Y. Rajeev Reddy and J. Sai Babu produced this film under First Frame Entertainment.
